Paper filters are the only way to remove two harmful chemicals in coffee. They are cafestol and kahweol and they raise LDL cholesterol. You can read about this by Googling 'coffee cholesterol'. We also did blind taste test comparisons between coffee brewed using a metal filter and coffee brewed using a paper filter and the paper filtered coffee always won. This is why we only sell paper filters for the AeroPress.

- previous post: Hi Alan, have recently started using the Aeropress. Quite like the equipment I must say. Im a cappuccino/latte person so whenever I'm trying to make coffee with the Aeropress it comes out very watery. Any tips on how to fix that? – From Siddharth V.
- next post: I have been using the aeropress coffee maker for the past 15; years. I have one at the condo ,one at the cottage , one in the car ( to use in friends homes to convert them to aeropress devotees) and one in my suitcase in the aeropress travel pouch. When the new model was introduced it was destined for the camping equipment box. Will you please post on your website how the Aeropress Go was packaged at the factory. When I opened the box I did not record how it was all packed to fit into the mug. Thank you – From Don W.
