2018 Success!
2018 has wrapped up after an incredible season of events! 140 regional and national competitions took place in 2018, building up to the World final that was held in Sydney, Australia in November. After a two day extravaganza of celebrating Down Under and hanging out with the AeroPress community, Carolina Ibarra Garay from the United States took home the gold. Xiaobo Zhang from China took home the silver trophy, and Evgeni Pinchukov from Belarus came in third. Congratulations to everyone!
While many competitors are coffee professionals, many passionate home coffee brewers also compete. The championships are truly for everyone, which makes them extra exciting to watch. You should consider participating yourself – you might be the next person to take home an AeroPress trophy!
